Arizona's Stupid Driver Law

Not named for Judy's grandpa, but it could have been. Way before Arizona enacted the Liability for Emergency Responses Law, commonly known as the Stupid Driver Law, Judy's mom was nearly drowned in a flash flood back in the 1920's. She had ridden to town with her dad and they drove over a wash that just had a trickle of water running across. On the way home, it didn't look much different, but the road had washed out underneath and their car sank to the bottom. Her dad barely got her onto the roof in time. Believe the sign posts that say "Do Not Enter When Wet" and never drive on a wet road when you can't see the pavement underneath.
