Caveat Emptor

Caveat Emptor is Latin for "Let the Buyer Beware". Fortunately, we live in the "information age" and the Internet is a valuable resource as you do your due diligence.

This section is, by no means, meant to scare you away from our beautiful state. Every area of the country has potential hazzards and we'd be disingenuous if we claimed there weren't any here. You'll note that there are no tabs in this section for hurricanes or tornados - thank goodness!

A great resource for your search is the .pdf copy of A Home Buyer's Guide to Geologic Hazards in Arizona for free download at the Arizona Geological Survey site: www.azgs.az.gov. It contains information on Floods, Earthquakes, Problem Soils, Mass Movement, Subsidence and Fissures, Radon, Karst, Abandoned Mines and Volcanic Hazards.

We have listed some of the categories and provided easy links to informative sites; however, there will likely be other issues that are of personal concern to you. Our favorite search engine that combines Google, Yahoo, Live Search and ASK is
